Florida!

Well this week I have ventured off to the sunny Ft. Lauderdale/Boca Raton Florida!! It is absolutely gorgeous here! I could def. live here 6 months out of the year. It is December (as well all know) and it was 83 degrees here today. It is so funny to me to see Christmas decorations up all around town and it be warm weather outside! I am here with a friend of mine. We grew up together and I now work for her family back home in NC. She is in Ft. Lauderdale going to school for communications and is a ballroom dancer. Yes...she knows the professionals on "Dancing with the Stars". Maksim's (pro dancer on DWTS) brother wants her to move to New Jersey and be his dance partner. She is def. living the glamorous life here. Her condo looks out over the intercoastal waterway. I couldn't imagine having this view everytime I wake up in  the morning. I will post pics up later b/c I want you all to see how beautiful this place is! Have a great night!!

Vote!!

Ok bloggy friends...I know it's not that many of you that follow my blog yet but I hope that will change! Our local news does a "Pet of the Week" contest each week and I of course have entered our dog "Sadie" in it. I know....ya'll probably think I'm some crazy dog lover or something, but I dont have kids yet so I treat this dog like my child...that's it! So please go and vote for Sadie! She is the beagle sitting in front of the yellow and red mums. It's the picture of her from a previous post. Go here! http://www.wral.com/lifestyles/pets/?navkeyword=pets

Thanks so much! I just want to see her on TV....is that too much to ask?!?!?

Doggie Photo Shoot Day

These pics are of my dog Sadie and my parent's dog Baylee. They are the best of buddies. Sadie doesn't care too much for our other dogs at our house. I guess b/c she is always with them. But she loves her some Baylee!! Here are some pics of them a few days ago when the weather was pretty here! Yesterday and today have been miserable here due to the rain from the hurricane.

So photogenic!

Sadie loves to lay on her back and go to sleep

Have a good evening everyone!

My Furry Love

Don't have a lot of time, but wanted to share with you the cutest picture of my precious angel. Is this not precious or what?! This should be on a calendar! This is Sadie. She was my first dog and is it wrong to have a favorite dog? I have 3 more but most of my love goes to this one!

Best CD Ever!

Ok guys, I just wanted to let you know of one of the best CD's I've ever listened to. Every song on the album is wonderful and I could listen to it all day long. It is the Christian group "Selah". I hope they tour somewhere around the Raleigh/Durham area b/c I would absolutely love to see them in concert. I'm giving a copy of the CD as gifts this year b/c I love it so much. I also think my brother should sing some of the songs in church one Sunday (he has a beautiful voice). You can buy the CD on Amazon.com, the group's website or at your local Christian bookstore.

Here is the group's website. http://selahonline.com/

Also the lead singer's (Todd) wife has a blog that I follow as well. Very inspirational. Here is her website.

Hope you all have a great weekend. I plan to do lots of Christmas shopping this weekend and hopefully help my husband do some yard work!

I'M A SLACKER!!

Well yes I am officially a SLACKER!! I cannot believe I have not updated my blog since July!! Really?? Has it been that long?! YES!

Well since July, we have been pretty busy. We have been to the lake, beach, mountains, done landscaping around the house, spent time with family and friends and MY BROTHER GOT MARRIED!! YAY!!

Todd officially got married in mid-September. We couldn't be more happier for him and Natasha! We are so blessed to have her part of our family. They got married in Asheville and it was just beautiful! They got married at a place called "The Farm" so needless to say, the scenery was just lovely.

Beach for 1 Year of Married Bliss =)

For our 1 year anniversary of being married (we have actually been together for 8 years now) we just decided to head down to Myrtle Beach just to relax and spend some time together. We love going to Myrtle. We stay on the south end which is really nice. We love hanging out and going shopping at Broadway at the Beach. We did some good eating! My wonderful husband also bought me a new Coach purse with the matching wallet for our anniversary. When we got married, he gave me a Coach purse as my wedding gift so I'm hoping this little tradition continues throughout our married life! haha. I love purses!

We had a wonderful time and we are looking forward to many many more anniversaries and for God to continue to bless our lives and marriage. We are very thankful!

First Time Posting

Hi all! I'm new to this blogging thing. I have always enjoyed reading others blogs but never really thought about creating my own blog. I'm definately not the best writer in the world but I will give this a shot.

My husband (Chad) and I got married a little over a year ago on May 31, 2008. We dated 7 years before we were married. He was actually one of my older brother's best friend's growing up, so he was around quite a bit. Older brothers sure do come in handy for something!! Never really thought about Chad in that kind of way until the end of my senior year in high school. By that time he was at the end of his freshman year of college. We had started talking to one another on the computer via "instant messaging". He told me he had been praying for quite some time for God to help him find someone. We started talking more and more and hanging out that summer after my senior year. I kept telling myself that I shouldn't start a serious relationship before I start college b/c of all the new things I would experience. But I knew I didn't want to let someone that good "get away"! So ever since then we have been together! It has been a wonderful ride and I couldn't ask for more.

Chad went to N.C. State and got his Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and Construction of Management while I went to the University of North Carolina at Greensboro to get my Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sport Science. Chad first started off at a small college in Fayetteville, NC and played football for 2 years there while I first started off at Greensboro College and played volleyball for 2 years there. Then we both transferred to bigger schools.

I think we had the most beautiful wedding ever! We got married in the church we grew up in and still attend. I wanted to have the sanctuary to be dim and lit by mostly candlelight with dim lights on. It ended up doing just that b/c a storm came up right before the wedding was supposed to start which made the sanctuary darker than usual. The ceremony was at 7pm that night. I thought my bridesmaids were absolutely gorgeous! They were a mixture of family and friends. They wore black dresses from Ann Taylor and all wore there hair down. They carried a smaller version of red roses bouquet while I had a bigger bouquet of red roses. Lovely ladies! the groomsmen also looked handsome in black suits, white shirts, black tie and a red rose boutineer (dont know how to spell that word) haha. My colors were a deep red, black and white/silver.
My dress was made of silk and had the mermaid look. It was very fitting all the way down to the knee then flared out. I loved it! It was exactly what I was looking for.

All in all it was a wonderful day. Not stressed at all that day. So wonderful just to be surrounded by family and friends on the best day of my life.

We are now living in the small town we both grew up in in North Carolina (just north of Raleigh, NC) and where both our families reside in and we couldn't be happier! It is a wonderful life!

I will post pictures soon!
