Hi all! I'm new to this blogging thing. I have always enjoyed reading others blogs but never really thought about creating my own blog. I'm definately not the best writer in the world but I will give this a shot.
My husband (Chad) and I got married a little over a year ago on May 31, 2008. We dated 7 years before we were married. He was actually one of my older brother's best friend's growing up, so he was around quite a bit. Older brothers sure do come in handy for something!! Never really thought about Chad in that kind of way until the end of my senior year in high school. By that time he was at the end of his freshman year of college. We had started talking to one another on the computer via "instant messaging". He told me he had been praying for quite some time for God to help him find someone. We started talking more and more and hanging out that summer after my senior year. I kept telling myself that I shouldn't start a serious relationship before I start college b/c of all the new things I would experience. But I knew I didn't want to let someone that good "get away"! So ever since then we have been together! It has been a wonderful ride and I couldn't ask for more.
Chad went to N.C. State and got his Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and Construction of Management while I went to the University of North Carolina at Greensboro to get my Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sport Science. Chad first started off at a small college in Fayetteville, NC and played football for 2 years there while I first started off at Greensboro College and played volleyball for 2 years there. Then we both transferred to bigger schools.
I think we had the most beautiful wedding ever! We got married in the church we grew up in and still attend. I wanted to have the sanctuary to be dim and lit by mostly candlelight with dim lights on. It ended up doing just that b/c a storm came up right before the wedding was supposed to start which made the sanctuary darker than usual. The ceremony was at 7pm that night. I thought my bridesmaids were absolutely gorgeous! They were a mixture of family and friends. They wore black dresses from Ann Taylor and all wore there hair down. They carried a smaller version of red roses bouquet while I had a bigger bouquet of red roses. Lovely ladies! the groomsmen also looked handsome in black suits, white shirts, black tie and a red rose boutineer (dont know how to spell that word) haha. My colors were a deep red, black and white/silver.
My dress was made of silk and had the mermaid look. It was very fitting all the way down to the knee then flared out. I loved it! It was exactly what I was looking for.
All in all it was a wonderful day. Not stressed at all that day. So wonderful just to be surrounded by family and friends on the best day of my life.
We are now living in the small town we both grew up in in North Carolina (just north of Raleigh, NC) and where both our families reside in and we couldn't be happier! It is a wonderful life!
I will post pictures soon!

Love the profile! You are gonna have to teach me how to blog :)
